First Attempt with Pomodoro Technique

Description

Tried the Pomodoro method (25-minute work blocks + 5-minute breaks) during a busy audit week.

Reflection

This was my first week experimenting with time management techniques. The Pomodoro method worked when I was studying at home, but at work, interruptions made it difficult to complete cycles. By the end of the week, I felt frustrated and realized that not every technique fits every environment. Still, it was a good first step in learning how I work best.

Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.

Work-Life Balance Improvements

Description

Managed to consistently finish work by 4:30 PM and spend evenings with family.

Reflection

This was the first week I truly felt balance. Leaving work earlier gave me time to bond with family and pursue fitness. I realized that time management is also about protecting personal time, not just getting more work done.

It’s not the load that breaks you down, it’s the way you carry it.

Stratum Saving Goal Achieved

Description

Created a monthly investment saving target and successfully met it.

Reflection

This was a huge milestone for me financially. It showed me that I can apply the same principles of SMART goals to money management. Completing this saving goal gave me confidence and reinforced that discipline applies across both time and finances.

Do not save what is left after spending, but spend what is left after saving.

Using EOX Software for Mock Interviews

Description

Practiced interviews using EOX software to simulate real scenarios and apply the STAR method.

Reflection

This week I used EOX to practice mock interviews. Structuring responses with the STAR method made it easier to organize my thoughts and present them clearly. I realized how much more confident I feel when I approach questions with a framework. This experience showed me the importance of preparation and how digital tools can support career readiness.

By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.

Eisenhower Matrix Trials

Description

Experimented with the Eisenhower technique to separate urgent vs. important tasks.

Reflection

I applied the Eisenhower Matrix to my work and studies. While it helped me prioritize, it didn’t solve my biggest issue: unpredictable interruptions and long working hours. It felt useful on paper but less effective in real life. I learned that strategies need to match context.

Don’t count the days, make the days count.

Journaling Routine Established

Description

Began weekly reflections every Sunday using the Journal app on iOS.

Reflection

I started journaling 2–3 times per week and added a weekly summary entry on Sundays. This gave me clarity and accountability. Even when I didn’t meet all my goals, I could adjust for the next week. Journaling became my personal feedback loop.

We do not learn from experience... we learn from reflecting on experience.

Journaling Consistency and Daily Reading

Description

Increased journaling frequency to 5 nights per week and integrated daily reading.

Reflection

By early September, journaling became second nature. I noticed patterns in my energy and productivity, which helped me adjust my schedule. Reading regularly also fueled my learning and mindset. The biggest lesson: self-awareness comes from consistent reflection.

Reading is essential for those who seek to rise above the ordinary.

Restarting Exercise Routine

Description

After getting busy and dropping exercise for a while, I was finally able to restart my fitness routine last week.

Reflection

I'm a bit disappointed that I lost consistency, but I'm also proud that I pushed myself to start back instead of giving up entirely. This showed me that setbacks are temporary, and what matters is returning to the habits that support balance and well-being. It reminded me that growth is not a straight line but about resilience and restarting when necessary.

Discovering Time-Blocking

Description

Shifted from Eisenhower to Time-Blocking, scheduling work, study, and personal routines using Notion Calendar.

Reflection

Time-blocking worked much better than Eisenhower for me. I could visually see my day, set realistic boundaries, and stick closer to finishing work around 4:30 PM. This helped me carve out time for family, gym, and personal projects. I felt less overwhelmed and more in control.

Either you run the day or the day runs you.

Gym and Habit-Building Progress

Description

Incorporated fitness into my weekly schedule.

Reflection

This week I went to the gym twice. While it wasn’t my target of 5 sessions, I reframed it as a win because it was progress compared to before. I learned that habits are built gradually and that consistency matters more than perfection.

A little progress each day adds up to big results.

LinkedIn Profile Update and AI Discovery

Description

Finally updated my LinkedIn profile after months of postponing.

Reflection

This exercise pushed me to update my professional profile. While doing so, I explored AI applications that help with resume building, branding, and networking. It was eye-opening to see how these tools can accelerate career development. This experience showed me the value of visibility and personal branding alongside technical skills.

Your brand is what people say about you when you’re not in the room.

AWS Developer Associate Practice - Journal App

Description

Began a series of three projects to strengthen my AWS Developer Associate skills. Successfully built and deployed the first project: a simple Journal Entry App, focusing on authentication, API integration, and cloud deployment.

Reflection

Completing this project gave me hands-on experience with AWS services and boosted my confidence in applying theory to practice. It reminded me that growth comes from building real solutions, not just studying. This project also connects to my journaling habit, showing how technical learning and personal growth can align. I now feel motivated to finish the other two projects in my plan.

The best way to learn is by doing.
